Theresa A. Barbadoro is an Associate of the firm. Ms. Barbadoro advises clients in all areas of corporate law, including, asset purchases, contract negotiation, commercial finance, secured transactions, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. She also counsels clients on corporate compliance and intellectual property matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Barbadoro spent four years as an associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP, primarily in their London office, where she advised clients on international contracts and cross-border capital markets transactions and regularly counseled clients on periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Barbadoro also practiced as a member of the in-house counsel team at Red Bull North America, Inc. in Santa Monica, California where her responsibilities included drafting and negotiating a variety of complex contracts, including sponsorship agreements, venue contracts, production agreements, athlete endorsement agreements and artist agreements.
Ms. Barbadoro is a graduate, magna cum laude, from The College of William and Mary in Virginia. She received her law degree, magna cum laude, from The American University, Washington College of Law where she received the Gillette-Mussey Scholarship for Excellence in Legal Education and was selected to the American University Law Review and the Order of the Coif. While attending law school, Ms. Barbadoro was a student attorney in the Civil Practice Clinic and taught constitutional law classes to Washington, D.C. high school students as a teaching fellow for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. She also interned in the Foreign Commercial Services Department of the U.S. Department of Commerce in Florence, Italy.
Ms. Barbadoro is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of New York and the State of California. She is also a Certified Wine Professional, having graduated from the Wine Studies Program of The Culinary Institute of America.
