BB&B Attorneys Successfully Defend Audiologist at Licensure Board

Attorneys Paul N. Barbadoro and Lisa Bond successfully defended an Audiologist before the Massachusetts State Division of Licensure when the Audiologist was accused of improper business practices. The Board's prosecution alleged that the Audiologist acted improperly during negotiations to purchase a competitor's business. The Board of Licensure for Audiologists, like other state licensure boards has the power to investigate, bring complaints, conduct hearings and dispense punishment, including suspension and revocation of a professional license.

After conducting discovery and motion hearings, Attorneys Paul N. Barbadoro and Lisa Bond were able to prove that the Licensure Board had little to no chance of proving a case against their client and that any evidence was, in part, the product of unsubstantiated allegations by a jealous and deceitful competitor. Just prior to a trial on the merits, the Board dismissed the complaint.
