One of the most distinctive areas of our practice is in the area of military law. Larry DiNardo was a JAG officer for 26 years and, as a result, has extensive experience and knowledge of the military's legal system as well as the issues that face military personnel, from reservists to the National Guard to active duty personnel.
Most legal services for military personnel are provided by the military. However, there are times when you may want another, outside opinion or where our firm is better equipped to handle the questions and challenges you face.
When an individual has enlisted or re-upped his enlistment, he may later want a clearer picture of where he stands in his military service - what military rights he has and what obligations he is under. Mr. DiNardo can examine your enlistment papers and determine the answers to those questions.
At a time such as now when reservists are being activated in record numbers and active duty personnel are being shipped overseas for military duty, questions about the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act and what affect that act has on your debt situation arise almost daily. Similarly, if you are a reservist or in the National Guard and you encounter a problem with your employment after a period of activation or overseas duty, we can help you work with your employer to resolve that situation. Often all that is required is a conference with the employer to point out the laws in this area, and it can help to have an impartial third party sit in on such a discussion.
